The HP LaserJet Pro M15w is a small personal laser: USB plus WiFi, 2.4 GHz only, no Ethernet, no screen. Setup is the wireless button plus an information page — not a color LCD wizard.
The M15a is USB only. That URL redirects here — skip every WiFi step.
Wireless the way this model expects
- Hold the wireless button until it blinks
- Press the information button to print the network sheet (SSID, IP)
- Join your phone or PC to the same 2.4 GHz network — not 5 GHz, not guest WiFi
- Finish in HP Smart, or skip Smart and add a TCP/IP printer using the IP on that sheet
If HP Smart never lists it: Easy Start / discovery. Password rejected: invalid WPA passphrase.
Driver on Windows 11
Get the M15w package from support.hp.com. Windows’ generic driver prints but often drops the printer after sleep. Disable auto-off in the EWS (type the IP in a browser) if it vanishes every afternoon.
USB fallback
If WiFi will not hold, print over USB with the same HP driver. Do not run a second wireless installer on top — remove the broken WiFi queue first.
Toner and path
Cartridge is HP 18A. Pickup issues on the 150-sheet tray: pick motor stalled. Offline after it sleeps: printer offline.
Need it on WiFi?
We can read the info page and add the M15w by IP. Call (888) 423-7757 — available 24/7.
