The HP LaserJet Pro M201dw is an office mono laser with USB, Ethernet, and WiFi. It is not the M15w: it has a 2-line panel, duplex, and HP 83A toner. Use this page for M201dw (M202dw / M203dw wireless cousins are similar).

WiFi from the panel
- Network → Wireless Setup Wizard, or WPS if your router supports it
- 2.4 GHz SSID. WPA3-only routers fail here — invalid WPA passphrase
- Print a config page and add the printer by IP on Windows 11. Easy Start on this generation is flaky — cannot find printer
Ethernet and USB
Prefer Ethernet in an office. No link light: auto crossover. USB is fine for a single PC; remove any leftover WiFi queue so jobs do not vanish into an offline port.
Driver
Install the M201dw Full Feature or HP UPD from support.hp.com. Windows 11 IPP will print and then lose duplex. After a DHCP change, re-add the TCP/IP port or the printer looks offline.
Paper and toner
83A / 83X toner. Tray not picking: pick motor stalled. Duplex jams: rear door, then jam guide.
